Happy to support large handled Spyderco knives. I am jazzed I found one thanks to some help here. I think it is strange that there is not more buzz about this knife especially considering the premium materials. Maybe the masses already have all the Jimbo Jumbos they need. This is my first in this design. I think I need a wave feature add on. Will anyone make scales for the jumbo yo? I assume the clip hole pattern is the same as the Yojimbo? Considering the deep pocket carry for this as well.

the yojumbo is a fairly niche model. Marketed for SD, and a little larger than most folks prefer.

i'm really happy with my DLC S30V model. this one is tempting though!

I put my hands on a Yojimbo and a Yojumbo today for the first time. I was shocked at the size of the Yojimbo. In my mind it was a large knife, but despite it's width at the lock it is realtively compact. The Yojumbo feels great in the hand, and I can see why a larger model was warranted. I can't imagine these are going to last long.

The Yojumbo has 50% more edge length than the Para 3, (all other factors being equal) Edge Holding is directly proportional to Edge Length so you'll be cutting 50% more material between sharpenings with a Yojumbo.
Not a big deal for some people but at least it is a logical benefit for anyone to maximize the amount of cutting edge.

Now if only we could get a 5" YoMega/YoMaximum.
This is only true assuming that you're cutting evenly with the entire blade which I just doubt. Also I would guess blades with more belly tend to use more of the blade because of the way the blade naturally curves as it moves through the material.
There's good reason all dedicated "box cutter" knives have a Wharncliff tip, if this were a skinning knife or a kitchen knife you would have a point, but for cardboard a curved blade will only limit the useful cutting surface, thus I wish almost all of my knives were Wharncliff.
Hawkbills are a further improvement so yes a curved blade is better "if" it's curved forward in the direction of the cut, just the curve of a Hawkbill is impractical to sharpen with benchstones so the Wharncliff is the ideal compromise.
