I know I said I'd probably get the part serrated when I get one but I actually anticipate liking it so much I have both the PS and SE on the way.

i've never owned a stretch, but i got to hold a copy of the stretch 2 with g10 and zdp. it was definitely a close second in ergonomics for me just behind the manix. i know i'd really like this xl version too, based on what i've seen from the pictures. i really hope we see a salt version because i would definitely not be able to resist.

I'm just the opposite. I have a few of the Stretch 1 but I've never seen a Stretch 2 in real life. From the pictures and opinions on the forum here I was convinced to order both XLs with teeth. I'm really looking forward to their arrival and I'd surely be in with a Salt.

Just got one and love it! The new platform eliminates the oversized palm swell feel in the handle from the Stretch2, and everything about the ergos feel spot on for my XL hands. The linerless FRN does leave something to be desired for a flex standpoint, and I really hope to see a linerless G10 version despite the cost of Seki G10. I agree with everyone that says this needs a K390 and Magnacut Salt version ASAP :)

No more lock rock than any of the other Seki Spydies I've had as new... If I really muscle it I can feel a very slight insignificant movement.

It might be worth mentioning that my sample benefitted from a final tightening of all handle screws. They were not what I would call loose, but they were not tight either.

Mine was a spectacular example. No issues at all. Centering is great, no blade play, no rock. My only criticism is not with the Knife itself but the fact that I can't carry it. If I could, it would probably replace my K390 Endela.

He has a blade length law to deal with in Colorado . MG2

Got it. It's hard to keep track of these laws, largely because they aren't common sense based.

Yes, length restrictions. Otherwise, I'm almost certain it would replace by beloved Endela. Weighs less, doesn't take up substantially more or noticeable pocket space, and that blade!!!! The handle or fit in hand is great too, they really knocked it out of the park with this one, IMO.

Agreed 100%. I'm told cops don't really enforce it, but I'm not wealthy enough to test out that theory! I envy those without such restrictions!

I agree, carried solid for a mini self challenge and has become a big part of my rotation . I had reservations before ordering but comment discussing the XL ( Vivi ) convinced me to at least give it a try . No regrets and glad I have it . Bring on a Salt ! Dan

Yeah. Better to carry what is legal than take chances. Fixed blades are tricky here, because they can't be "concealed", but folders (non-auto) can be any length. It's just weird.

Right on. The XL appears to check a lot of boxes for me. It's taken a bit of self discipline to not buy one. But I'm a sucker for tool steel, so if... no, when... the knife is offered in K390 or something equally exciting, I probably wouldn't be able to contain my enthusiasm.

I felt the same way but decided to vote with my dollar... The others won't happen if the vg10 model isn't successful right? Plus vg10 is always an enjoyable EDC revisit IMO. PM me if you don't know about the 10% off MAP coupon.

It's been a few months now and I'm just as impressed with it as I was the day I first got it. The incredibly light weight relative to the size continues to astonish, the lockup is rock solid, and the blade just glides through everything with incredible ease!

That’s a new edge, actually. I don’t have the tools to measure thickness unfortunately (I should get some calipers!).

I know I´ve said it before (and concerning other knives), but to those who are not happy with VG10 in PE: Perhaps consider getting the Stretch XL in SE: VG10 is a great steel for "teeth" imo, and on top of that the Stretch XL has particularly nice serrations...
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)
