What “New to You” models are you looking at for 2022?

What models do you NOT own that are on your short list (or long list) to acquire in 2022?

There are a few for me that I have not tried, but really want an example in my hands. Feel free to steer me clear of these if necessary.

Caly 3.5 Carbon Fiber 420J2/ZDP 189
I like this model for a number of reasons. Love the blade length for a relatively small footprint. I would ultimately like to have a Locking FRN version if that makes it to production some day, but that may or may not happen. Even if it did, I am attracted to the Non-FRN backlocks for the steel backspacer. I loved the look of my old CF Chaparral that I gave away with that backspacer. Would like a bigger version and this seems perfect. This carbon fiber looks smooth, but not too smooth to offer some grip. I am picturing something similar to the Chaparral or Watu. I have held this knife in a store, but can’t recall. I would prefer a different steel than ZDP-189, but I am afraid this model may not be around forever.

Native Chief
Ultimately, I would prefer a lightweight version. Not sure if that will be an option for 2022 though. It would be a nice surprise. So I would probably try to find a CF/S90V version or just the standard model. Not sure exactly which one I would get, but I definitely want to grab one next year.

Pacific Salt 2
Probably the LC200N version, but may consider the H-1 version. Lots of edge for a very light knife. Ergonomics of the Endura do not bother me too much.

Leaf Jumper
Alright, so technically this is not a model yet, but there are some promising hints it just may be around the corner. Maybe it will sneak into the 2022 calendar year. One can dream. I love the Rock Jumper.

none. in 2022 my plans are to buy another 1 or 2 PE H1 Pacifics to dye green, and a Swick 5 which is pretty close to the Swick 3 with G10 scales I used for years.

If there's a new model I'll buy next year it's probably one we haven't learned about.

I'm keeping tabs on the Perrin subway bowie and the longer Enuff, but there's no confirmation on when they'll release yet.

Of the old/revealed/confirmed stuff, not much.

Swick 5/6
Military, kind of, but hope to see some that are not S30V (if we see any at all)

Like Vivi, there’s no shortage of knives on my rumored-/disclosed prototype Spyderco short list.

Hoping to see a Native Chief in SE, hopefully also in a steel I haven't used with SE yet (Spy27, MagnaCut). I'm hoping the Leaf Jumper comes and the XL versions (Cliff Jumper and Sequoia) come also. Beyond that my biggest anticipated upcoming model is the new Ayoob.
All SE all the time since 2017

This coming year will probably be when I finally start ticking off my list.
The Rockjumper is at the top, but there are more than several Spydercos/Byrds I’m acutely interested in and, considering I’ve only ever owned 2 models, I don’t want to post half the the catalogue 😅
They’re all “new to me”.

S35VN PE Resilience and serrated Swick 5. Maybe a serrated Byrd wharnie or three to beat up on. They've got four sizes coming up.

I would highly recommend finding a G10 Manix with the heavily skeletonized liners. But I prefer lighter weight.

Any and every Mules.
Like you Native Chief LW but i'll settle for S30v g10 if need be (I could get the sprint but the chipiest the steel is on this, the better 😆)
A medium size fix blade with really thin grind
A Military
Any Native 5 I don't already own, and older Natives if possible.
Delica performance if available.
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

Robin. Finally made an IG : ramo_knives

I would love to finally get a Shaman. I feel like they have been sold out for as long as they have existed.

thanks for the tip. i'm not too worried about weight, but skeletonized liners would be nice since i'm used to the lightweight. whatever liners come with the spy27 or magnacut (whichever comes first) manix is what i'll have though. ;)

Ayoob, leaf jumper, lil Nirvana, lc200n dragonfly, maybe a serrated lil native salt if one appears.

I expect this year is mostly just going to be enjoying what I have and watching the PM2 exclusives come and go.
