Any upcoming releases for a military in any of these or similar steels? Or does anyone know of a retailer who has one in stock? Big fan of these steels and really wanting to give a try in the military format.

I know BBS has exclusive Paramilitary in M390, really don't recall Military having any of these.

Edit: If anyone knows, it's RamZar - walking talking Spyderco encylopedia.

The XHP and 204P came out ages ago. Hard to find these days. Military sprints aren’t easy to come by lately. Even the base model is hard to find. S30V or S110V will be the easiest to find but they even seem in short supply. Hopefully S45VN, SPY27 or Magnacut are on the horizon. I realize that doesn’t help you right now though.

It seems like there's a new para2 sprint **** near every day, but absolutely nothing in the military. What gives? It's not like that model doesn't sell well...

Spyderco Military CTS-204P Knifeworks Exclusive is an awesome knife, I have it. But... It took Knifeworks almost 2 years to sell the 1200 pieces batch, while similar in quantity batch of Paramilitary 2 sells in hours, sometimes in minutes...
That's the answer why dealers order PM2 and Para 3, but not Millies

This. I was able to casually buy one of the KW exclusives after they dropped the price. PM2/P3 I don't even try to get them these days due to the mad rush surrounding their drops. Stores need to sell, not store. No one wants to sit on slow selling items and they will stick to what moves.

And I'm still waiting for a new Military in either MagnaCut or 20CV :bug-red-white

Most of the Military Exclusives didn’t sell well and the last one was a BladeHQ DLC M4 Natural G-10 from February 2019!

Military had dry spells with no new models including Sprints/Exclusives from October 2013 to May 2016!

Then, 7 were released from May 2016 to February 2019 all with CQI enhancements but none sold particularly fast:

  1. Military CTS-204P Dark Green G-10 C36GGRP KnifeWorks (USA) - MAY 2016
  2. Military 52100 Black CF C36CFP52100 Sprint (USA) - JUN 2016
  3. Military CPM-S110V Dark Blue G-10 C36GPDBL (USA) - AUG 2016
  4. Military CPM-M4 Natural G-10 C36GM4P BladeHQ (USA) - APR 2017
  5. Military CPM-S90V Black CF TitaniumI Reeve Integral Lock C36CFTIP KnifeWorks (USA) - MAY 2017
  6. Military CPM-REX45 Burnt Orange G-10 C36GPBORE Sprint (USA) - NOV 2018
  7. Military CPM-M4 Black DLC Blade Natural G-10 C36GM4PBK BladeHQ (USA) - FEB 2019
The CQI enhancements came out in May 2016:

  • Larger pivot torx head and on both sides
  • Larger lanyard hole
  • Stepped stop pin
  • New clip
  • Standoffs instead of the solid backspacer

By the way, the standard Military Satin S30V/G-10 currently has a street price of $196 (if you can find one) but come January 2022 it’ll be $217!

Wow nice comprehensive list, thanks for that. Looks like there was at least one every year during that 4 year period, but none since. Hopefully somebody steps up as we're going on almost 3 years without a special millie run now!

Technically it's a stepped-pivot, but the point is its working as pivot bushing unlike the previous generation of simple pivot barrels

Wow the Blue G-10 S90V Military at BBS even sold out.
It was going as low as $200 at times.

I doubt very much any Military release (sprint or exclusive) will sit around for 2 years anymore. Hopefully the regular production will be released first to cater to some demand. There is a lot of interest in the Millie now. I think a lot of people have discovered Spyderco in the last 2 or 3 years who were not there previously. Hopefully any exclusive is made in such numbers that it's not sold in a day. It gets really old sitting over a keyboard competing with 6 or 8 hundred other buyers. I'm done with all that FOMO buying. It would be nice to see SPY27, MC or K390 be in regular production. It's fair to say there's so much built up demand for a Millie now any steel will sell quickly.

Frustratingly, there has been little word on the future of this great model. The talk of changing lock design has not done my angst any favors either haha. I was lucky enough to snag an S110V version and if that’s all I can get I’ll take it- it really is a superb example of Spyderco design and manufacturing at its best.

I don't know why they don't make some more with the titanium reeve lock. I have two of the Knifeworks Militaries from 2017 and they are among my favorite Spydercos. I even swapped one blade out for the M4 from a BladeHQ knife. It's basically my perfect EDC.

FWIW Handtools.com still has both s30V and S110v in stock. Site looks dodgey as ****. But these guys came through for me a couple years ago with the Superblue Caly jr sprint when none else hand them in stock.

Thanks, am a bit tired of S30V, have so much of it already, and 110 is a bit too brittle for my preference. Looks like I'll just have to bite the bullet and keep an eye on the secondary market.

$217 for S30V is steep IMO but it is a huge knife. I want a liner lock version because I currently only have the RIL S30V.
