Beautiful looking knife, but $210 is an insult. Pakkawood is not expensive material at all, and the Knifejoy damascus Delica was already overpriced at $107,... a $103 increase from the FRN version is a slap in the face to every spyderco fan...

This is nothing but greed and exploitation of spyderco lovers. Knifecenter should be ashamed of themselves for asking such a huge inflated price.

ITS fricken VG-10 and pakkawood, 2 of the cheapest materials in the industry...

$210,.. they are smoking crack.

That's a great price. I got mine in early 2019 I believe it was, for $155. Even that wasn't a bad price though in my eyes.

THIS KNIFE...wow...talk about an exclusive that's going to sit around for a while!

$210 is 30% off MSRP. MSRP is set by Spyderco.
Maybe you should learn the facts before throwing out insults.

I agree that the post is unnecessarily abrasive. If you don’t like it then don’t buy it. Pretty simple.

That said, I believe that dealers can charge whatever they want for their own exclusives and are not bound by MAP.

Feedback through purchasing or not purchasing will get the point across much better. Maybe someone from Knife Center reads the forums but I'm sure it'll sell out and end up as flipper fodder like all the rest.

I wonder if there is some kind of retooling done with this model?? Didn't they say something about a change made to the liners on their Endela Pakkawood exclusive, which aided in the raised price of that particular knife?

Very nice And if I got one, despite being that pretty, it would certainly be a user I'd really enjoy.

Now I am not judging if the price is generally too high, but for the about $ 340 I'd look at to have it actually in hand here in Europe I'd rather get two or three other Spydies I absolutely want to try some day.

But, again: Really nice!
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Great looking knife, but pricey! I love seeing Spydercos with wood scales. Wish they’d do more that way. A premium Roadie with wood sounds nice.

Just saw this one too. Kinda like the dark wood. Reminds me of ancient bog oak.

If I had the money I'd certainly buy one. It is unique and it looks good.

That's a beautiful knife, but not my style.
Love the black wood scales, but Damascus is not my cup of tea

Is the Damascus cladding process that much more expensive than the standard cladding on the hap40 pakkawood? Seems like a big price bump for a subjective cosmetic gain and an objective performance loss.

It is a looker though.

Inflation people, inflation. This just the first of the big price increases in the industry. Luxury items will go up first and fastest. I predict we will see the contraction in the cutlery industry in the some countries as everyone runs to the lowest cost makers to feed their addiction. Too bad it is an uneven playing field.

$210 for a VG-10 pakkawood Delica is abrasive. My comment was very gentle compared to the insulting price.

^This^
Everyone clamored for their "free" goobermint stimmie money not realizing the consequences of Jerome and Janet hitting Control P and making the printing presses go brrrrrr.
Printing trillions of stimulus and COVID/Infrastructure/BBB dollars out of thin air has consequences. The FRN notes we hold have less value every day. Commodities, real estate and collector items will hold their value as the wheelbarrows of cash required to go the the grocery store becomes more common.
Most people dont realize the Federal Reserve is not federal at all but a private for profit banking cartel. Their goal of 2% inflation annually is merely a 2% skim on every person who uses their fraudulent paper notes.
Inflation is a hidden tax.
Get used to skyrocketing prices. Knives be no different.
