Man, you are a serious climber! I am not a rock climber. I see high things and want to climb them. As a kid, I would see how high I could get into a tree. My grandfather had a rock chimney chase that I would use to climb. I have zero qualifications or experience.
Watch out who you call a climber! Those guys lose knives!

I am amateur at best too. Bouldering indoors is more like a chess game with your body.

Your grandfather sounds like an awesome man to let the grandkid be a squirrel indoors.

I lived in trees when I was a kid , had a tree house with glass windows and was girl proof ! I liked climbing out the second story window and venture out on the roof . Things worked well until I forgot to close window and let a bat into the house ! I fell once out of a tree as my Mom was hanging clothes on the line to dry , knocked the wind out of me . As I’m gasping for air she comes over and looks down and says you be ok and walked into the house . I think it was payback for bringing in a bucket of baby snakes into the house . :winking-tongue
[/quote]

Hahha!! Dennis the Menace? Cough cough, Dan!

Some days I wish the cellphones would break themselves. We’d all have more of a reason to stay outside.

If only you weren’t indoctrinated into the order of the gold star… you might have been a cool kid!

Bucket of snakes? And you still live?

Jeff you using diamond there? Diamonds are for evenings. Aluminum/silica for work! (Unless you use those crazy steels that break all tradition!)

I wonder if my joke translated to this page, or if yal think I am a nut.

Not arguing against the nut part, but you are correct about the diamonds. Maybe I just never went to sleep. It was K390 which is a stickler for diamonds.

I will agree about the nut; I prefer pecan.

Well holy cow K390 breaks all traditions!

Hahha. Gertrude the lovely catfish. She even rubbed some slime on me for added irritation. She took my shrimp but she wanted the whole fishing reel. But you know me Dan, I don’t usually kiss and tell.

Catfish is so hard to do right. Fry to much or too little. It’s tough.

Bluegill is good eats. I have to sneak local fish into my wifes diet. She reminds me the river was still on fire when she was living. She can’t see it recovering in 30+ years, and I grab a fork full.

To many happy fish fries.

Q:What is the most appropriate knife to bring to a local fish fry? A: Not a Spyderco, they are all Salts! (I’ll be here all day, thank you, thank you.)

I hear ya ! My wife will not eat anything that comes out of water. Once a month a bunch of buddies get together and eat out . Our favorite place once a month had a Smelt special . You could get 1/2 or 1 pound. I never left hungry .

Checking in, to assure myself the MNOSD thread is rolling forward. Will rejoin the fun after a variety of real-life issues, which have rudely intruded on my reality, are resolved. Carry on, Nobles.

You have just implicated, yourself, myself, and Jeff.

Did you say nice cold one? If you look at the fine print, you’ll find this beverage is without good spirits (it’s non alcoholic!)

This picture was from the summer. No bug spray needed on Lake Erie yet.
