In an attempt to regain traction for our Safety Pin Chapter, I recently documented another application which has been around forever. Having put on quite a few mostly healthy pounds these past months, my already slim fit cargo pants started ripping and tearing at the knee so immediate action was taken to apply a temporary solution until these pants along with 3 pair of cargo shorts are sent in for repair... again. Take care of yourselves and eachother noble ones and apply the appropriate patch to stay healthy and thriving.

0047: Similar problems and solutions here, only that my jeans rips are around the crotch. I think that a safety-pinned pair of jeans adds a certain swagger to a man that you just can't get in any other way. I know I get a lot of admiring looks when I wear my safety-pinned jeans at the mall.

0002: Excellent shot of the scarfed cat. Warms the cockles of my heart. No safety pin, though?

Yes noble and great 0003, a wellplaced safety pin can add just the right amount of fashionability to an otherwise generic outfit, like a pair of jeans or slim fit cargo pants that used to be hip at some point during the past decade yet have been rendered entirely obsolete quite abruptly by a vicious fluorescent retro nineties revival which is starting to permeate all layers of society. Alarming trend or not, I leave that up for your consideration.

Getting on a plane for a wedding tomorrow. Fortunately between my wife and I we're bringing enough stuff to check a bag, so I've got an Astute rolled up in my socks and hopefully buried deep enough TSA won't bother messing with it.

What do other members bring with them when the sock drawer has to go mobile?

Other than a safety pin, obviously.

I haven't been serious in this thread for awhile, so maybe it's about time.

I used to take a pair of perfectly legal <4" scissors on the plane. For some reason they are allowed through security. If someone were to undo the hinge screw, they'd become two 5" knives. Strange.

Nowadays, if carry-on luggage only, I take an empty utility knife, no blade. At destination, I spend $3 and get 5 blades.

I seldom take a nice knife in checked luggage.

If I am checking a bag, I'll bring a model that is easily replaceable and doesn't have any special meaning. In other words, if it gets lost or stolen, I will not be heartbroken about it. I have taken a Pac Salt, a Chap, a Leaf Jumper, and maybe one or two I am forgetting about. Nothing of high value and nothing that I cannot get online and quickly replace if I wanted to.

Just thought about some interactions I had on the forum during the past months. Maybe we could create a sharp drawer section within or mighty, but still noble, order ?

Its mission would be to annoy people when they say something!

Image Reading this book is not a requirement to attain membership in MNOSD . I’m not sure where these rumors start .0002

If I recall correctly, the Witch ends up being humidity in the sock drawer and ultimately they end up reccomending their own line of drawer silica packs called the Witch Killer. I have several that I keep fresh in my drawers.
