I wish there was a tactful way to discuss my dislike of my favorite knife company doing business with (censored). Because at it's heart it is a deeply political discussion. But one I feel like we should be having.
Is Spyderco your favorite knife company? :thinking :nerd
;)
Does (censored) have anything to do with the production setting of their "Value Folder" series?

I'm just curious at this point, if that's really it I would prefer to politely see myself out of the conversation.

I assume that he doesn't like Spyderco making knives in China. Or "doing business with China".

Either way, that's not a discussion for this thread or perhaps even this forum (General Discussion). It would be a slightly more welcome discussion over in "Off-topic" but would end poorly...
So it goes.

Ya sorry for not elaborating much. Can't without talking politics, but you've pretty much got it.

Changing the topic to something more fun: What color DLC or blade coating do you wish spyderco or a dealer would create?

I think doing a blue PVD coating could be cool. It's already possible, probably just a matter of doing it tastefully. Spyderco could create their own niche novelty color scheme like the "dessert warrior" with a blue PVD blade and a creative zome FRN handle.

High visibility orange. The higher the the gloss/shine/reflect ability, the better. Like a Taichung stonewash type finish but colored orange.

Different colored blades with different color Zome choices sounds amazing!

This, but I would bet it won't happen.

It’s fun to dream though. I’d be happy with a realistic matte finish too.

A glow in the dark PVD blade coating might be cool.

So lucky me, I got swarmed by bees yesterday. I wasn't aware that I had any sort of allergy to bee stings, and in fact I was just swarmed about a month ago and didn't have any reaction, but this time I woke up this morning to Popeye hands. I was stung in both hands so I was playing around this morning with some knives, laughing at how ridiculous my already large hands look holding various knives. Currently sitting in my doc's office waiting for them to tell me something.
