Re: Flock of mules
^that's another good looking mule pacu!
Since I had some leftover zombie Kydex, I did another toxic green g-10/micarta, but this time burlap. I also used cf tubes for pins with the intent to fill the tubes with epoxy and gitd powder. Probably shouldn't have polished it up 1st.

Micarta looks great! Scratch as expected for a knife that gets used...badge of honor.

Looks good! I've always wondered how that material would hold up in use. Is it hard to work with when hand sanding?legOFwhat? wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 7:29 pmLet's pick it up Andy! Glued and roughly shaped another last night. ....I've got issues

Re: Flock of mules
Really easy sanding and takes a great polish. The thin metal mesh will polish up right along with it and gives a great contrast and effect on both the sides and the face.Josh Crutchley wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 12:54 pmLooks good! Re: Flock of mules
Left wet blue tape on this mule while wet sanding for a few days and picked up a little rust. Sprinkle of BKF and light finger rubbing took it right off.

Yep, all the Uranium glows. Yikes that's not fair, that's twice what the scales would cost!standy99 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 10:38 pmOff TopicIs it all the Uranium ones that glow ?legOFwhat? wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 1:12 pmReally easy sanding and takes a great polish. Re: Flock of mules
Made a few changes on this ZWear mule. Changed the lower portion to a chamfer instead of radius. My 1st gitd/epoxy fill on the cf tubes worked out pretty well but I made a mess and learned what not to do.
Hopefully the T15 Mule drops soon but, in the meantime I intend revisit a few previous mules just make some changes.

Re: Flock of mules
Hey I shapped my Ultem Magnacut one today and made a set of scales for another… got another 2 days off so give me a few days.
(The Ultem is a sanding nightmare from now on as it’s all hand sanding through the grits)
