Playing in Detroit with that front office forced Calvin and Barry sanders to retire early. Criminal

2 of the biggest stars that franchise has ever had, and just refused to build around them. Definitely a shame!

Not building around Dan Marino was the biggest crime ever... 17 seasons only 1 hall of fame teammate... A center...only played together 5 years.

Are you serious?? That honestly blows my mind. They must have had horrendous defenses back then.

Yeah, that's the Grand Prize Winner
Danny Marino was spectacular
I watched him so, so, many times growing up.
I may have mentioned before that I have Sports Illustrated first Collge & Pro Football Spectacular. It had Marino in there, titled " a real Pittsburgh guy" good article. And, he was super confident lol
My God, you would think that of all the Coaches, Don Shula would've done better with him.....or maybe the GM called the shots? I'm not sure.
Can you imagine Marino as QB 1 for the New York Football Giants back in the day???
I honestly believe Joe Montana would've not won 4 Super Bowls.
Danny Marino and the New York Defense, my Lord.
And, please, that's nothing against Phil Simms. Simms was a great QB. But, Dan Marino.......mercy.

I wonder if Dan regrets not trying harder to leave Miami

I was going to say, Ole Phil did just fine! Hahaha....but yes, would be interesting to imagine Marino in that uniform. What a dream scenario with that defense we had back then. I was just a pup, but that defense is what made me become a Giants fan when I think my parents were trying to sway me towards the Bills!

Bro, Marino would've dominated imo. He was that good.

As much as I hate to say it...they would've found a way to ruin him 🙂

Here's hoping Justin Fields lights it up!

I look at this list and there's some names I've completely forgot about lol

Although, I believe the ultimate what if, would the 49'ers with you know who lol........that would've been Breathtaking.
Again, taking nothing away from Montana. It's just the thought of Marino/Rice would be electric!!

Gameday for the Patriots!!!

The Football Team is coming to Foxboro for there first preseason game. Tickets are so cheap, I'm thinking about going. Even if it's just preseason, I want to go to the first game back at Gillette with fans!

I got a real feeling that my Steelers will probably be lucky to finish above .500
I think they have the toughest schedule in the league.
But, I don't think we're really going anywhere even if we had the easiest schedule in the league.
I dunno. I believe though, that this season will be very, very, good and interesting.
I'm especially ready to see what Matt Stafford and the Rams will do. I also got a feeling that could be the N.F.C. Championship Game.
Gonna b even gang!!!

So I did end up going to the game last night. It was actually the first preseason game that I had been too but it was still fun. I sat 5th row, which usually costs way more than I'm willing to spend on a regular season game.

Was cool getting to see Mac's first real game reps in person. When he first took the field, the crowd lit up and gave him a standing ovation.

I didn't take many photos in general, but here's one from Mac Jones first huddle.

So, what do you think of Jones thus far?
I didn't get to see any of that game.

Thanks and so far, I've been impressed with Mac. He put up a solid performance while he was in last night and had the offense running smoothly. He had one pass to the back of the end zone I was siting at, that was an absolute dime but unfortunately the receiver dropped it. Would have been an awesome highlight.

Cam was only in for a few drives before Mac came in but he played well while he was in. There was a bit of "familiarity" from his play last year, so it was exciting to see what Mac could do.

The final 2 minutes were pretty exciting. Washington scored and converted a two point conversion to tie the game at 15-15 but was ruled incomplete after review. (15-13) Then after the Pats received the ball, it only took a few plays until their rookie running back, Rhamondre Stevenson, broke out for a 91 yard touchdown run.

Wow!! That was definitely worth the money Nick!
Very glad to hear Mac Jones is doing good.
And, I hope Cam can get back to his old self.
