And finally, the Laguiole has arrived!
Here is some reviewing photos (open in new tab to see full resolution).

I chose another seki-made oldtimer knife for unboxing - full stainless Taiyo.
Image

Another soft package was inside the box.
Image

Old Spyderco black-white box and bee stamped sheath.
Image

"RL01P" index number on the box, "JAPAN" stamp on the sheath.
Image

The Laguiole and :bug-red sticker.
Image

Brass liners and furniture, polished micarta handle.
Image

My measures are: blade length = 100 mm, blade thickness = 2.9 mm, behind the edge thickness = 0.3 mm (0.012 in).
It is shaving sharp and cuts very well.
Image

Blade spine with cutouts, bee and frontlock.
Image

The blade has mirror finish and Seki-city stamp.
Image
Image

Ramco-Laguiole engraving and G-2 stamp.
Image

Another view of mirror polish on the blade.
Image

Sheath and closed knife. The action is smooth, fit and finish are exceptional.

I convey my gratitude to Sal, Gail and Alex.
And thanks to everyone who congratulated me.

This Laguiole will be a gem in my collection, as a part of Spyderco (and knives overall) history, I won't trade or sell it, but rather leave it to my children in the future.
