Got the downstairs bathroom and laundry room remodeled in three days. New tile, paint, decorations, vanity, mirror, lights, and toilet. Happy wife happy life right?

Between all of that I also found time to buy some Leyland Cypress and a Japanese Bloodgood Maple to plant in the backyard for $140! Nursery in town is going out of business. I’d say I had a pretty productive three days off LOL

I spent the weekend rebuilding a rotten deck frame, using recycled plastic lumber. Jeepers that stuff is heavy.

Love those Japanese maples.

I am not working on any remodeling. I am outlining a mystery thriller. I don't have a title yet, something like The Mystery of Foggy Bottom or The Foggy Bottom Monster, or something.

Thanks guys. We live in Gold Bar, WA, about an hour out of Seattle to the east in the mountains. Our plans of moving to Phoenix are on hold, housing market is good to sell but not be a buyer right now. I’m not paying seattle prices for a home in Arizona right now, nope, no way.

It sure is. Might be a pain to get home after work but it is well worth it!

All the top surfaces on my deck, 1000+ screws later! Buying lumber, and lumber in general just sucks!

Very nice deck! The prices of lumber these days, I'm not even going to ask how much that cost. Looks great though, hope you enjoy it!

About to start building a new engine for this mess.

Awesome car Nick! Back in the very early nineties me and my Dad went to the Good Guys Show at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte. We brought home a one owner 68 Caprice Coupe with 45,000 miles on it. This car was ridiculous, 396 Big Block, TH4000, and a 12 bolt posi rear end, this car also had a block heater and a trailer hitch!?? This car was from Montana and the original owner pulled a small pop-up camper 3 or 4 times a year! He said he originally ordered this car specifically for this and not a truck? And he had ALL the paperwork and documentation, plus pics of it pulling his camper!

At that time my Dad had 5 or 6 Impala’s but not a Caprice, high class fancy! The thing that always struck me about that car the day we brought was all the little things, like the cluster lens, crystal clear like it was when brand new, the steering wheel was perfect, original carpet not even close to faded, the seats literally looked like they’d never been sit on! It had one dime sized piece of rust on the entire car, and it drove like a dream, like driving a big ole comfortable couch!

Of all the old hot rods / muscle cars / old trucks my Dad owned, and this is no exaggeration, probably close to 500! I still have our old matching number 1969 DZ302 Z/28, the last sole survivor!
