Thank you, KnifeJoy. I didn't plan to buy one but you changed my mind.

Same here, I received the notice last night asking if I was interested via the KJ+ program, said yes and received an offer today to pick one up so I did; noticed they even had 3rd party payment options available (pre-drop post had mentioned they didn’t initially).

Knife Joy took a cool course when they asked Knife Joy + folks if they would like to purchase a Slysz Bowie. Connecting to a likely loyal customer group with the offer was a grateful gesture. It gave some of us that missed the original drop the opportunity to pick up the knife

Very well-done, Mike. I don't know much about knives, but I know something about writing. Much appreciated.

What's the deal with the blue sticker with the animal head on it?

I've had mine in pocket all today. This really is a nice knife. Great materials and a finish that I like. It's not flashy, but it cuts.

Good question. I have no idea.

Okay if I take a seat on the sofa next to you while we wait for a reply? :grin-smiling-eyes

Welcome to the sofa! We'll have to see what the experts say. There was also a small matching velcro patch, a larger velcro patch with KJ Exlcusive on it and matching sticker.

The sticker refers to the Slysz Bowie being (in many people’s opinion) the Spyderco GOAT (greatest of all time).

There's speculation over on the Millie, PM2, Para3 group on FB that the pivot screw is made to accept Torx Plus bits rather than the standard Torx. I checked mine using a T8 Wiha bit and the fit is a bit loose. T9 is too large.

Just wanted to mention it here before somebody stripped their pivot screw using the (possibly) wrong type of bit.

Thank you very much for that information.

My WiHa's are fixed-handle. Guess I'll be shopping for new wrenches .... Feel free to recommend.

Seriously?

That's gotta be the most "cringe" thing I've seen in a long time.
