I think this concept could be good for the ceramic Spyderco folder

They will announce a drop date at some point but I'm really hoping before Christmas.

BTW welcome to the forum!

Would really love to get this one but not sure I stand a chance. I’ve seen what happens during online high demand events. I don’t know just don’t want to get my hopes up. I have to budget for everything I get so maybe I’ll just get something else then I don’t have to stress about it. FOMO it’s a real thing.

This should be fun to play with.
I'll get one to replace the Z-Wear Mule in the kitchen.

The mule blade width dimensions are 3mm, that’s probably the thickest this material has ever been produced for commercial blades. I wonder if that adds, adds to or negates its flexibility?

This material is awesome so far with kitchen use.

I am really excited for this one, probably moreso than I was for the Magnacut drop.

The mule format should let me abuse it more and really push it compared to my thin kitchen version. However that means I will need two in case the first one fails... :winking-tongue

Anyone have plans to sharpen these? Brave enough to reprofile and thin out?

🥹😍🤪🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩Thank you Sal and everyone for making this happen! I am so proud of this community. I was tickled pink to see this. This is a game changer. I will need a few of these because I intend to make the lightest impervious EDC fixed blade with it and an ergonomic backpacking knife. I am curious to see someone make a folder out of it.

Diamond cutting wheel or a course diamond stone is what I would use. Luckily I have both. Good thing is no heat treat to worry about

Q1: Is MT40P first ever Spyderco ceramic knife?

Q2: Is MT40P first ever Spyderco non-steel real knife?

And it looks so cool--it's dark grey!
And it's made in Switzerland!!
And it costs $150!!
No Spyder!
Ovalized Holes!
AAAAaaaagh! I can't even!!

The sharpened bevel looks really thin...is it thin BTE or is the edge angle particularly obtuse?
