Order from Australia went through seamlessly...

I hope the quantities get a bump moving forward. I had flashbacks of the seconds sale.

wow, this was popular. took me 14 minutes to check out with the server lag.... after i got my card info in and pressed go - sold out.......

I don't think being logged in beforehand helps. You have to login again during the ordering process.

The time to place order wasn't too bad. Maybe 2-3 minutes but it seemed longer. :p

Had them in the chart. After payment put in, the knives were gone.

The whole "buying" experience overall was bad.
It's the only place where you are informed after the payment that it's out of stock.

Hmm, was sold out but now back in stock.

Back in stock! My initial attempt to purchase one failed stating "sold out." This one is a gift to my wife. Being able to snag one after being told sold out literally made my day! I just hope others get the message if they tried and failed on their first attempt.

After some site freezing issues for 5 minutes I got my order finally in at minute 10 or so:
One Mule Team and a leather sheath.

Really excited, will be my first Mule Team knife.

I had the 2 knives in cart and said wait a minute, I forgot to get the 2 different cups and bandanas. I added them, went to checkout and knives where sold out.

At least I got the bandanas and cups.

I had a bunch of extras, sheath, handle, bandanas, and the mule came up out of stock.
Hit cancel order and tried again.
S45VN mule stuck so I just grabbed it fast.
I'll get a bandana, etc, some other time.

Did it come back in for a few minutes? Still shows out of stock for me.

It's hit or miss, keep trying.
The supply will reload until they are really out.

Kristi could you please summarize my orders? 2 times shipping to europe is very expensive!
Or can i have some posts and screwes from the MTGBK?

I called the SFO and was told they are sold out. So I’m curious about these popping up for some folks.

Wow, I'm surprised this one sold out this fast. :eek:

I wonder what is causing these Mule Team knives to sell so much better this time around. Has demand really increased this much? (from months/years to sell out to 11 minutes) Are the quantities being made, matching the demand? Could it be from the increased marketing such as the new sub-forum, social media, and email? Are flippers flipping these? Is it a result of the low price compared to the usual Spyderco offerings? (for example, people are used to seeing triple-quadruple the price for Spyderco knives they want, so when one pops up for $50 it's a no-brainer to buy it) None the less, they don't sell like they used to... they sell MUCH better!

Don't get me wrong though, I'm very happy to see the Mule Team project continue to be successful! I'm looking forward to whats in store for the future! :cool:

I still hit refresh every once in a while...hoping.

Well, I missed it out of sheer stupidity and negligence. For some reason I thought the drop was 10 AM and was foolish enough to rely on my memory. So, here I was hitting refresh an hour after the drop time.

So competition for these mule blades is indeed fierce and being a dope certainly takes you out of the running. Next time I mark my calendar with a red pen, double check the time (and time zone conversions), mark it on my calendar, and hope for better luck.

Meanwhile, I'll go off and kick myself.
