Thanks. I remember that was word-of-mouth; er, word-of-forum some time ago, but I was never able to nail down a source. Spyderco is kinda ambiguous because they say:
Spyderco's twelfth Mule Team Project installment features American-made steel called Cru-Wear. Upstate New York's Crucible Steel manufacturers Cru-Wear which is very similar to Vascowear...
So I guess the question is: if a steel is made by Crucible, is it therefore CPM? Apparently not; it must be that Crucible does ingot as well.

The M398 Mule Team has now been in stock for two months. Perhaps that’s why we’re not seeing the other announced Mule Teams for sale yet:

I think i spotted a typo. MT28P2 regular production was released February 2023 if i'm not mistaken.

Don’t think MT28P2 will be on the list as it’s a seperate production

Thanks FOR BEING THERE! The M398 (MT 38) is a wonderful steel. Perhaps we will see it on a sprint for: say the Manix 2, or the Paramilitary 2?
I get a kick out of the "Knife Steel Nerd with his glasses" on the internet. He does a decent job on all the Spyderco steels that have been used over the years - and frankly good ole Sal and Eric have USED all the best ones!
