EDC screwdriver suggestions

#1

Post by bryan123 »

These days I'd rather carry individual tools as opposed to a multitool. Lately my Dragonfly, my Knipex 4 or 5" Cobra pliers, and a 2 dollar Stanley 4-in-1 pocket screwdriver with Phillips 0 and 1, and 1/4 and 5/16" flatheads in a plastic housing.

My reasoning is that the 3 most important functions of the multitool are the pliers, blade and bits.

What's everyone's favorite EDC screwdriver? Thanks.

For work I carry around a double ended (Philips/flat) screwdriver from a BMW motorcycle tool kit, the type that you swap the business end around in the same handle. I find it better, and easier to carry, than a multi tool screwdriver.

I have a small S&K pocket clip screwdriver with a Phillips on one end and a flathead on the other. Love it, carried it the last 10 years.

The way I feel about my Knipex pliers is the same way I feel about Snap-On screwdrivers, the best!

i carry a leatherman bit kit and driver extension. my gerber prybrid has a hole in it that will hold onto the end of the bit extension if i need more torque. i'll try to post a picture of what i'm talking about. it's a nice, compact set of tools. i do usually carry a leatherman in my bag as well though.
