I wanted to like the Police LW but the stiffness of the backlock and lack of a boye dent left me wanting. I ended up selling mine. If it had the same backlock and dent as the Endura I'd have kept my VG-10 and been buying a K390. Hopefully the SSSXL will scratch my itch for a large FRN Seki blade.

I really wish it had a boye dent. And a lanyard hole while were at it.

There's enough lockbar clearance that you could add a boye dent. It only takes 10 minutes. I did it to an old CE C95 back in the day with nothing more than sandpaper, a wooden dowel and a ceramic rod to clean things up.

I'm less certain about the lanyard hole, but it appears if you simply drilled one where the space for one is in the clip, the cutting edge would not interfere. You'd be grinding into the backspacer some though.

I wanted to like it too, but the way the choils were set up, I never felt like I could get a comfortable grip. I think if the one on the handle were more like the Endura, I'd be all over it.

Oh man - I'm the complete opposite! I can't stand the Endura handle because the finger grooves fall right across the middle of one of my fingers, but the Police 4 doesn't have that problem for me. The P4 still doesn't have as comfortable of handle as the Delica does for me, but I have small hands.

Exactly! For me right now it is the Endela. It fills that "just right" niche 95% of the time. Every once in a while I wish it was a little longer, every once in a while I wish the tip was pointier, but most of the time it is perfect. Between the four models I typically EDC (Endela, Endura, Delica, SSS), the Endela is the one I pocket almost every day now since I got it (VG-10 first, and then a second K390 one). And this model wasn't even a choice that long ago! :eek:

The Police is perfectly sized for me. I'm thrilled the Police 4 has seen so many variants in such a short time. Just getting a lightweight Police was a really big deal for me. Having K390 and HAP40 steel options has been icing on the cake.

Once the serrated Police 4's release I'll be picking up a few of those as well!

I was jonesin' for it until I saw the Straight Spine Stretch in K390 was going to happen. I believe I'll have to pick that one up first.
