Pretty cool car....matching number, unrestored, complete, hasn’t been rained on since the early eighties!

I’ve been offered some pretty impressive numbers for this car!

I’d honestly trade this car for the right Chevelle! There, I said it, I love Chevelle’s, I love full frame GM “A” body cars much more than Sub-Frame cars like Camaro’s and Nova’s.

Chevelle’s are like driving a big ole comfortable couch! Chevy Chevelle’s are just fantastic cars, I’m just a huge fan!

Lol, we have the same taste. I love the '67 Chevelle with a 396SS
Of course, I did at one time have a 1975 Corvette Stingray with T-Tops and the small back glass.
I loved that Vette. My buddy had a 67 Chevelle with a 396SS. And, an old girl friend had a 69 Camaro
Those were some good days :)

My favorites...1965, 1967, 1969, and 1970. The right 1965 would be the one! With some boot! ;)

60's and 70's cars are great. If I would have left the girls stay at home and spent my money on accumulating muscle cars, I'd be a multi millionaire right now.

About the Weatherby stuff.

I went in and found some rounds from my collection.

From Left to Right - .257, .340, .378, .416, .460 Weatherbys and .458 Winchester MAG for Comparison.

Nice! We were a Weatherby dealer back in the day. I sold a few rifles and quite a bit of that ammo. Got to shoot a few rounds too. For me, nothing compares to the 470 & 600 Nitros I got to shoot. The rifles themselves were worth more than I make in a year lol

I hear you. :)

I like the smaller ones personally. :D

My max for pain resistance is the .340 and that is bad enough.

If I was going to get anything in the future it would likely be maybe a .270 or .300 Weatherby.

Sold all of my rifles decades ago.

Those Nitros are interesting, I do have a .450 and .500 Nitro rounds too.

I don't think a lot of people can comprehend how absolutely brutal a .378 Weatherby is compared to the .375 H&H. I could shoot a .375 H&H all day it wouldn't bother me too much. The .378 Weatherby, no, maybe a few rounds.

Those sharp shoulder cartridges do have some pop haha

I know we're getting way off topic here...I was like 18 years old when I shot the .470 & .600 Nitro Express. One hot summer day I was out painting the benches on our 50 yds range in nothing but shorts and work boots. This guy was down on the other end shooting this loud double rifle from the bench with a P.A.S.T. recoil pad strapped to his shoulder. He didn't shoot very many when he called me over. He had a whole bag of .470 Nitro rounds. Turns out he was Jim Bell from (now former) Brass Extrusion Labs Limited (B.E.L.L.). He says, I need you to shoot some of these. I have to test them all and I don't think I can take much more (or something to that affect). The rifle was this little double rifle with tiny forend and English straight grip stock. He had to show me how to hold it. Rest the forend in my support hand and don't touch the barrels or you'll burn yourself. Also don't wrap your thumb of your trigger hand around the grip because you'll break your nose when it recoils. So here I am, this young kid (who grew up on a range shooting all kinds of stuff), no shirt, shooting this double rifle offhand while barely holding on to it. I rocked it! Literally haha! He had me shoot several rounds and based on his comments he seemed impressed with how well I did. I think he also appreciated that his shoulder didn't have to take the beating.

I only shot two rounds of the 600 N.E. on a different day. I remember my brother shot several rounds. It was pretty awesome haha

Hey guys I know those are classic/cool cars on those posts ( especially the older General Motors classics)>> but none of those cars are made in Germany. We got a lot to talk about with German made stuff and please let's don't "derail" this most interesting thread. :)

Now if you want to put up old Mercedes and BMW classics up there to talk about then be my guests :) Actually I had a guy I worked for at one time ( in the 80s) who had a Mercedes convertible from the late 50s that had a 4 cylinder engine. It was a Mercede Benz model 190 SL. That car was so valuable that he had a horrible time finding an insurance company that would cover his most unique Mercedes sports car. He told me that there were only about 60 of that particular variant of that model ever made. He told me that It was appraised at close to a $100,000 US value back in the early 80s.

Also I just saw an awesome looking new Mercedes Sports car in front of us in line at a burger joint just yesterday. I was blown away at how cool looking it was. People overlook the fact that the Germans have made some really great sports cars over the years. And they don't immediately come to mind when thinking of "Sports Cars".

You are preaching to a very devout choir at this point. For many decades the Germans were known for being premier in the field of metallurgy. And it kind of surprises me a way that the German knife companies are not leading the way with all these newer blade steels. I guess at this point they are just content with the market share they have.

It seems like the Japanese steel companies are doing more in the current cutlery markets.
