I’m a machinist and when you buy ticn coated end mills for cutting metal they have the coating all the way out to the edge and they are sharp. Doesn’t microtech gold coat one of their knives and the coating goes out to cutting edge

I know it bothers some people that an all blacked out knife still has a shiny and reflective cutting edge. In such a case, you can always take a black sharpie to it. It's good to see blacked out hardware, clip and liners like on the upcoming YoJumbo with all black DLC coated metal.

Is the upcoming YoJumbo with all black DLC coated metal a sprint or exclusive, or regular production? I don't remember.

Not this very moment, but as soon as KnifeCenter gets their pre-orders out. They have been pretty good about that recently. I understand that this hasn't always been the case, but it seems that they have gotten a lot better.

It does not go to the edge of the Microtech (at least not mine).

Kind of logical, otherwise the coating would physically do the cutting, not the steel...
