I guess maybe they’re rotating doing exclusives and new models? I’d think they take up similar production capacity.

I do not believe so. After I registered, there is still no option to purchase.
On a separate note, I don't think Reveal 8 blew anyone's socks off. It is interesting to see the sudden recent focus on serrations.

I may have found 1 in stk at Midway (oos now) and hopefully I'll have a Smallfly 2 on Wednesday. Moral of the story is that... assuming it wasn't an error... there might be some heads up posts in the restricted models forum. :)

To be clear on my end, I placed my order through the Spyderco online store.
I tried to buy some 'in stock' ammo from Optics Planet last year. I would say that went over like a lead balloon except I could have melted a lead balloon down to actually get some bullets.
