More 52100?

I will keep it short. I really liked 52100 steel. Its pretty much a good high carbon steel.
Yes, I know it will stain, patina, and rust if you look at it wrong... but once you get a good patina on it, it holds up very well.
I would love to see a medium sized, "general use/do it all" fixed blade in 52100.
Anyways, Am I the only one? Would anybody else like some more 52100 offerings?
(Once again, I would love a general purpose fixed blade in this steel. I will be happy to fight rust on it constantly. BUT, I think a "quick to patina" high carbon steel could interest many others in folders as well.)

I'd be in for it depending on models. I don't buy many fixed blades but if something like a Street Beat was done in 52100 (and maybe ground a bit thinner) I'd be interested. Heck I'd be happy with another Mule run in 52100. Folder wise my #1 choice would be a Nilakka. If it came in the form of a Nilakka XL that would be incredible.

And heat treated to Bainite. That pretty much puts 52100 at the top of the list.

52100 makes you feel like a sharpening master. It gets very sharp, very quickly. It takes a nice polish too.

I am pretty vocal about the 52100 Millie being my favorite Spydie and I would love to have a fixed blade as a nice companion piece. A Bushcraft would be pretty cool.

You and me both buddy. Won't hear me complain about more 52100.

A linerless G10 Native in 52100 would be sweet.
I have a Military in 52100. It has the issue with the stop pin not seated into the liner so the pivot has a gap and lots of play. I have to send it into Spyderco to be checked out. I almost bought a second one but thought I would get the same problem.

I'm conflicted. 52100 is really the only steel that has given me corrosion problems, once on the edge only of a dlc knife I used outdoors and another time on a satin blade knife that had been inside only and oiled. Yes, it's quite easy to sharpen, but I don't think I'd be super excited for more uncoated 52100. I'd rather have 3v/4v/cruwear, especially in a fixed blade.

Thank you. I could not agree more. Not only that, but I prefer K390 (though it is much harder to sharpen).

I’d like to see a larger folder in full serrated 52100 like a Millie or the Chief.

Seconding that, and Super Blue and V-Toku.

I love 52100. I'd love to see a Street Beat in it or perhaps a FFG Aqua Salt (called something differently obviously).

Definitely interested in more 52100 and especially so for thinner grinds and serrations.
About a fixed blade, I’m always going to encourage more of those.

I hope we see more. Skipped all the previous releases mainly because I thought a 52100 UKPK was coming. Maybe some day...

I’d be on board for something in 52100. I’d buy a PE Para 3 in this steel if it was available, or even a Native, or Lil’ Native.
