The Bee Gees “Too Much Heaven,” First Time Hearing, Reaction

The guy’s reaction is funny as **** to me. Like he’s never heard real music or real singing before. But this video, and many others like it, where millennials video their own reactions to hearing 1970s (and other earlier eras) songs, show just how far the quality of mainstream ‘pop’ music has fallen. I know there are ‘older’ guys (my age and older) who kinda made fun of The Bee Gees or took them for granted, mainly due to the falsettos they started using in the mid-to-late ‘70s, and their association with disco music. But let’s be honest here; how many groups then and now, in any musical genre, could sing harmonies and put emotion into a song like The Bee Gees could in their primes?

As a kid, I wasn’t the biggest fan of this song. But hearing it now, I think it sounds awesome.

I think a lot of this guy’s amazement is because of what The Bee Gees looked like. As I always say in my Martial Arts Experiences Discussion Thread: Never underestimate anyone. You may be surprised, even shocked, at the talents some people possess, and they don’t have to look a certain way, or be from a certain culture or ethnic group to have “it.”

This picture was after Hurricane Sandy, as I remember. We had about 14" of rain in a couple of hours and it washed out multiple dams on our little river. This canoe is about 15' above ground level and was bent in half by the floodwaters.

Actually the landing strip is only used in the summer . Many people use it in the winter to exercise and walk their dogs . Sister sent me the shot and I got a kick out of the sign . MG2

I only discovered Greg Morton the other day. This guy is incredible! I love good comedians who do outstanding voice impressions. It's hard to believe he's in his late 60s; he looks like he's made out of rubber.

Assault at the Oscar's: Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock Over a Joke

Showing 'em how they handle business on the mean streets of Beverly Hills. Not necessarily funny, but definitely a first in Oscars history. Will Smith has no class. It would have been funny to see what he would have done if Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson had made the joke.

Ironically, I'm pretty sure that Will Smith's actions just opened up a floodgate of material for stand-up comedians for years to come.
