grayl just announced a titanium model. if i didn't already have a geopress with a perfectly mated stainless steel cup/pot, i'd be all over it.

https://grayl.com
I would like one of thoes 30oz pathfinder pots/cups when they come back in stock. That said, the titanium UltraPress is so cool but not for me. I just can't swing the $199 for a filter that I can get for $60-70 and add a nesting cup to. (To many knives I want out there. :cheap-sunglasses )
i haven't used it yet, but it's all set and ready to go when the time comes. the geopress is $100. the pathfinder cup is $25. the prefilter bag from campcraft is $15. total cost for my setup is $140 (plus whatever shipping was for each of those). when you sign up for grayl's mailing list, you get 15% off your order, so the ti ultrapress would be $170.

i think it's expensive too, but it's a really good piece of kit. and i wanted the geopress when i got mine because it was a better design than the original grayl, but i wish i had the ultrapress because it's more compact and would fit in a pack better. and as long as you can filter water, you can always carry a bladder for extra water instead of needing the bottle itself to be so large.

i really like the new design and that it's made with titanium too. i think that's probably not that bad of a deal compared to the plastic version with a steel cup.

Yeah I just noticed the cup is for the GeoPress . . . I have three UltraPress units so I don't want to buy a larger Geo and have to get to sizes of filter replacements.
