Yes, an XL version would be great too. Now that BHQ has put out their exclusive M4 XL knives, maybe we will see more XL exclusives. Seems to me, that if a dealer were smart, they would comission an XL exclusive (in a popular steel/color combo), to keep in stock at least fairly regularly (similar to what Knife Center is doing with their Pakkawood knives), because there's demand for sure. I find it hard to believe the XL exclusives would sit around longer than the standard version, so I guess I don't understand why no one wants to step up and offer one.

The BHQ release sold out before I could get one around an hour after they dropped.
I had to go to the secondary market for mine. I think that speaks volumes.

Make it an XL LW and I´m in... :rolleyes:

No argument here. Manix 2 XL with K390. Put any color you want on it. I love my M4 Manix 2 XL so bring on the K390!

I'll buy a K390 Manix in any color variation, in either G-10 and Lightweight variants (and both if both are available)

I fully believe this needs to happen, but to be honest, I was trolling a bit with the title of this thread, and didn't expect so many people to agree. It gives me confidence that we will see a Manix in K390. Hopefully in the near future!

I don't mind the ranger green. I would prefer this in a LW version.
But let me ask a question- would you prefer 10V over K390? It read that it runs at a higher RC.

What kind of micarta? Canvas? Linen? And what kind of green are you looking for? Forest green? Hunter green? Sage green?

I'd prefer a dark green shade of canvas if possible. Even better if the edges are contoured but I can do that part myself. I can take it or leave it when it comes to texturing on the flats, like anso style etc.

Sorry, I thought I responded here, but I guess not.

As far as 10V vs K390 and their hrc numbers; the K390 PM2 and 10V PM2 had almost identical performance (edge retention - cutting cardboard) based on the testing I've seen. There probably won't be a difference in performance between them, so long as they're coming out of the same place. Seki K390 (65-66 hrc) is in a league of it's own. Several of the 10V PM2s tested, were around 64 hrc, and a lot of the K390 PM2s were 63-64.

Having said that, if Spyderco put out a batch of 10V Manix 2s with better performance than my K390 PM2, I'd buy one, and maybe prefer it? If the two are equal, I would prefer K390, but mostly because I'm already familiar with it, and not with 10V. Maybe I wouldn't notice any differences, but who knows.

I too bring this up, a couple of times a year. How can the Manix be left out this long, without K390?

I'm pretty easy when it comes to colors, though I would vote for a green. Foliage green would be my first choice, but the XHP has had that already. Heck, at this point of the waiting. I'd take fluorescent green.

A green canvas Micarta would be pretty sweet too.

I'm more of fan of the C-36 Military that I am of the Manix models. But with that said I still don't think anyone could go wrong with one of the great GOLDEN, CO USA made Spyders.

OK I'll vote yes on this one but I also want more C-36 Military models with newer/better blade steels as well.

I'd be in... especially if it is:

• Micarta scales; no preference whether linen or canvas

• LW/Regular/XL

• Don't have it as an exclusive from Bento Box like the past K390 offerings

i like that idea better. 2 colors for the price of one and it has rex45 awesomeness. it would be even slicker if it was dlc and black hardware too.

i missed out on that pm2, still might try to get one though.
