O/T shaving blades

#1

Post by seaman »

We all appreciate good blades so I was woundering what do folks around here shave with. Personally I've been using mach 3 and mach 3 turbo for the last 5 years until I discovered schick xtreme 3 refillable which I'm very pleased with. I don't want to make it sound like I'm promoting this product just curious as to what we all use around here...

Well, to start off I'll say I have two Ivory-handled straight razors which belonged to my great grandfather... and they stay in my knife chest! Do you think I'm CRAZY? <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I use Gillette Good News Pivot-Plus disposables. Best I've found.

gun con·trol n. definition 1. The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker received that fatal bullet wound. 2. The ability to hit what you are aiming at. 3. The first key step of a corrupt political agenda where good citizens are disarmed so that a dictatorship may replace a democracy in the future.

Norelco Rototrac 5801. Last time I used a blade was like '89 or '90. And I **** near killed myself.

I use the old flat double edged blades. They last a long time if you keep them clean with HOT water and they work great. Never could get used to the flimsy feel of the disposables.

Gillette Super-Stainless, the old classic double-edged blades, paired with an equally old and classic razor. Works great and tends to be cheaper on a per-blade basis than disposable setups.

By the time you read this, you'll have already read it.

After I donated part of my upper lip to the sink with my Mach 3 I switched back to a Sensor. I can't find the blades anymore so I use Excel blades and they work good. When you only shave every third day you don't have to be too picky!
