Opting for self defense

#1

Post by AllenETreat »

Yesterday I was in my new neighborhood when

a Hispanic gangbanger type pulled up his car alongside me on foot and said : "You don't belong here. you better leave!" I ignored the miscreant and kept walking, he followed

with his vehicle. I noted the license plate,

then he said "You BETTER leave!" then "You're dead m-f*cker!" and "I'm NOT afraid of your knife ( I had on my Microtech

Kestral in belt sheath )" ( I thought, O.K.,

why don't ya' get outta your "ride" and shove my knife up my @$$!?!) Now ATR ( At The

Ready ) for this idiot, I have my SpyderHawk concealed. If @$$hole doesn't carry a gun, meebee he SHOULD.

What say the augurers?

Makes me think of the saying,

"Never take a knife to a gun fight."

budman :

In my time in the Army, and from what I've seen of these braggarts on the street, he'd
probably $h*t his pants before even thinkin' of squeezing a case hardened trigger! You like gangbangers? I think they're tra$h!!!!

Maybe you should have asked the nice gentleman for a ride home...<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>.

...Now you know why I carry a Glock 10mm pistol as well as my fully-serrated Spydie Police model.

AllenETreat-
Maybe the people where you are back down. Here they don't. And, the 'bangers all carry guns and use them. I spent too many years in the Army to get taken out by a 'banger. :-)

I avoid them at all costs.

If some piece of excrement wants to draw down on me, I've got no problem with it. Mr. Sig and Sauer are always along for the ride, and they bring thirteen of their little friends to the party.

In the end, it probably would be better to move the **** out of a crappy neighborhood like that, but I'd be damned if I'd let someone like that back me down.

Report it to the Police and get a carry permit.

You said you were in your neighborhood. Does he live there? Is he known to your neighbors?

I agree with Dyna - report the incident to the Police. Not because they will do anything about it; because they won't - but because if YOU are ever forced to do anything about it, you have a record of multiple police reports to support your story.
