From BHQ: "This limited edition model marks the first time Spyderco has used all-metal handle construction for the PM2. The solid copper handle features internal milling to reduce weight and, with the exception of the stainless steel compression lock tab, the scales have no liners."

Might push me to buy another Para 2. Not big on metal scales personally but copper from Spyderco is almost too interesting to pass up. Plus the Rex factor!

I have to buy one. Not really interested in a PM2, but I'd love to see what else they bring in this configuration.

I love copper patina.

Very cool. Glad it’s copper and not titanium.

Please Spyderco, please do not make a titanium version of this as an exclusive. Please produce a titanium version of this as a standard production model. Folks outside of the US wanna play too.

I can smell that already, between the copper and the carbon steel

Wow, just saw that. A bit more than 2oz heavier than a Shaman. That's hefty, but plenty of people put aftermarket metal scales on pm2s with regular liners, so the weight must be fine with lots of people.

Hope they ordered a lot of these...

I'm also glad Blade HQ is branching out from the jade/m4 exclusives. Those are great, but it feels like time for a new game, and I love that dealers are getting into new scale materials like pakkawood/dymondwood and this copper. I hope the pm2 isn't the only model planned.

That's really interesting to see, it makes me happy to see since I traded my PM2 from the first Sprint and have always regretted it, even though I'm not a huge PM2 fan... I'm in for one for sure. It's Rex45 after all.... ;)

The milling looks pretty substantial inside which is a nice touch.

Good for those who like heavy knives, I guess. It's very handsome.

Interesting. A blade and handle that will both patina and show wear.
