Got a DLC but I don't like that they are charging taxes.
Understandable, but that's your states fault, not theirs... :(

Exactly..I live in a state where the nexus is $500,000 per year before they have to charge taxes..I can't prove it either way but you would have a hard time convincing me they sale half a mill worth of knives to this state in one year..that's a HUge amount of knives..

I must be the only one who got the "Sold Out" message in the first minute or so as I hammered on the reload page button... luckily I kept on trying.
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod
Note to self: Less is more.

Now I'm waiting on a 4V DLC XL exclusive from St. Nick's to go with it.

I think that's why someone thought it was sold out in 8 seconds. Perseverance!

Second on the St Nick's. I'd love to see then run an XL in 4v. :)

I think a 4V Chief is in the works, and a 4V Manix XL (OG C95 version) was being discussed, but not confirmed. Im all in for an original C95 backlock Manix in DLC 4V with dino jimping! :D

The one of each per household rule, along with releasing both at the same time instead of months apart, probably helped a lot in ensuring that they’d take more than 5 minutes to sell out. Glad these sold out quickly enough to show people are interested, but slowly enough that most people who really wanted one could get one
BRING ON THE MANIX XL SPRINTS AND EXCLUSIVES! And 10v or K390ify the Golden lineup, please.

Top 5 folders I’ve owned: Serrated Caribbean Leaf, Shaman, Manix XL, ZDP-189/CF Caly 3.5, Native LW.
Top 5 steels I’ve owned: LC200N, K390, CPM S90V, M390, CPM REX45.
Top 3 steels I want more of: M390 class, A11 class (including K390), CPM REX45.

Sweet! That is awesome to hear! I am eagerly awaiting both the Rex45 & S90V sprints, it is the only knife out of the Native family I don't have and I recently got to handle the standard/S30V version, I really want one... or three

I wonder how many people gave up when they had that initial website failure saying it was out of stock in the first couple minutes. That might have helped to keep them around for a while longer.

I suspect the Out of Stock notification was probably people's browser cache. At exactly ten o'clock, the page was taking an extraordinary time to load. If someone is impatient and clicks "reload," the request starts all over again. Different browsers/users do things differently, and there's no way for a web designer to account for all the quirkiness.

I started hitting the website slightly before 10:00 MT and all it said was "coming soon". Then maybe 15 sec. later I got the "out of stock". I knew it wouldn't sell out in the 5 seconds I was waiting between refreshes so I kept doing it and another 10 or 15 seconds it said "in stock". Then it took a long time to add to my cart, then a long time to go through the checkout process. I'm guessing 3-4 minutes from the time I hit add to cart to the time when the order was complete.

Selling out in an hour is good, that's the way it should be. People don't have to worry about getting beat out while they are waiting in line to check out like another site does. And there aren't a lot left over unsold to make the retailers hesitate from doing this again.

I was not greedy, partly because I'm low on cash, so I only bought 1 satin.

Was patient with BHQ's slow site as I expected it to be so. Managed to snag one of each as I'm undecided which one will become the user.
Will pass on whichever doesn't.

Congrats to all that picked one up. I want to see some pics and video of them being used. I was hoping to snag one but thanks to COVID-19 for getting me laid off from work and the state of North Carolina for screwing me around on unemployment I am broke. It’s awesome being laid off for 10 week’s and the state giving you the run around the entire time. Then when everything starts to open back up companies expect you to have money laying around and full payment right now. I guess when the said they would work with you was a lie. Sorry for venting but in the future I will pick up a Manix XL in S30V when I get things leveled out.
