Haha, well it was supposed to be a Christmas present but she's not very good with waiting to give gifts. It arrived in the mail that day and she just couldn't wait!

Oh WOW!!! SO COOL!!! Happy to help spread the addiction to family members as well as forum members. :p

I'm curious to hear how the aggressive tip works out for utility tasks. I thought about one for myself but I'm already WAAAAAYYYYYY over budget on Spyderco for this year.

Enjoy and Happy Holidays!

I noticed a couple small burrs in a few of the serrations and decided to take it to the Sharpmaker. Using the 40 degree setting, I did the 3:1 ratio using the brown rods, then white rods. For good measure I then took the serrations to the corner of my strop block. Results were fantastic! There was literally paper dust on the knife and counter as I was able to shave into this thinnest of pieces of paper that can't be seen in the photo.

Thankfully the serrations that needed sharpening were closer to the handle than the tip. It's definitely going to take some practice sharpening that tip/curve when I need to!

It's starting to quickly fall in favor for me. It carries well, I really love the handle. I've found two different grips that are very comfortable in regular use. It's such a unique and bad a$$ knife. The guys at work loved it, and we're scared to even hold it haha.

Honestly, all of you crazy Spyderco collectors...you need to get one of these for your collection. At under $100, instead of buying your 8th Delica, next time around...get you a Matriarch
