Went for a run this morning, and realized the logo on my new $10 Costco running shorts has a striking similarity to the one on my running knife. Tallulah noticed, as well.

Yeah, I just don't know if I want to argue about different Bully or Terrier breeds, because it seems like a losing battle where they are going to claim semantics, and move the yard stick...

Just bumping Bailey and her impending plight to the next page...

Although she may be a Heeler/Dalmation mix now!

I didn't know Embark was a thing, and it seems like a fantastic plan B although having to get a Dog DNA test that I need to alter to keep my landlord from taking away my perfectly compliant dog who has been a resident here for years just doesn't sit well...

I'm still open if anyone sees any other obvious suggestions...

Bailey is snoring her appreciations now!
So it goes.

I'm so sorry...once she found out that she had any sort of internet audience...

I haven't told her about her new identity yet...

Dogs are the best. Waffles is our kiddo and he is a 9 year old male Corgi. He is just the best friend and so loving.

Haha! Thank you for understanding! I definitely felt I was pushing the limits of Bailey tolerance! I would be delighted to see Waffles! I had a Corgi/German Shepard mix that was my most complex but probably favorite dog of all time!
So it goes.

What an ignorant restriction list. Frustrating. But yeah, Heeler or McNab mix might work, or Australian Cattle Dog, or American Bully mix, or all of the above.

That's awful, I truly can't imagine that situation suddenly thrown at me! Great recommendation by SG though. Keep us advised.

Gorgeous pooch, I see some Japanese blood in her, lots of interesting breeds there that kinda match her divine looks. Good luck and don't let them mofos take her from you!

I once had a Bailey who was a fantastic dog (although undeniably a Lab). I think there are pictures of her earlier in this thread. As a result, I feel personally invested in a positive outcome on this.

Good luck, and keep us posted! Such a frustrating set of new "rules".

So just to keep everyone updated...I haven't heard anything further or been contacted again, yet.

Bailey is here, happy and sound...it's going to take them actually knocking on my door seeking to remove her before I escalate it any further...and at that point she will be a Heeler/Dalmation mix and the contention will be full go...

I do feel targeted now, even when just walking her around the complex, but it's going to be a situation that they are determined to enforce until then...

She is super sweet and will never cause a problem, so maybe they will just leave it at sending out their official notice and leave it at that, but we'll see...

For now, I'm just acting like nothing has changed and she belongs here as much as anyone else.
So it goes.

Guys/Gals!! Emergency!

The apartment complex I've been at for several years has now implemented a restricted breed policy, saying any restricted breed needs to be removed immediately!

What can she pass as?? She is 10 years old (47 lbs)...sooo sweet and a mixed breed beauty...

Image

Breed Restrictions (NOT ALLOWED) :

Pit Bull
Rottweiler
Presa Canario
Malamute
Doberman
ChowChow
Wolf Hybrids
Terriers( Staffordshire)
ANY HYBRID OR MIXED BREED OF ONE OF THE AFOREMENTIONED BREEDS

I've always just assumed she was a Pit Bull/Bull Terrier mix, but that is based off of not much and I don't want to give them any reason to question me...what can she pass as?

Thank you!

Edit to add: She literally can't/doesn't bark...a very strange but useful attribute for an apartment dog...she only softly barks while dreaming, I'm not sure what that's supposed to add, but just felt necessary when describing Bailey...LOL!
Sorry I missed this , makes me sick to my stomach. I hope you can get this resolved . Dan

The lil guy was happy to get back inside this morning after a good workout. Since dropping about 5 pounds of babyfat he's becoming Usain Bolt fast like his daddy, who he's been mourning for a couple months now. His 60 pound frame dashes across the yard in 5 seconds flat and it's roughly 50 yards. So delighted his spirits have been reinvigorated. Also there's a lot of females in heat around here where I regularly catch him frothing at the mouth with his nose in the ground.

They are very rarely all in one spot.
From top to bottom:
Olive 5 yr old female dachshund
Lady 7 yr old female dachshund mix
Harvey 8 yr old male chihuahua
All together they weigh about 45lbs.
The smaller the dog the smaller the mess lol. (Sometimes)
