That special deal SMKW had a few months back turned out to be not so good. My pre-order was refunded (yes, I was charged)a couple of days ago. I assume it’s because the knife couldn’t be shipped before the yearly price increases. Dack is far from the only retailer canceling orders. The only order Dack canceled on me was a difficult to find non-knife item and I have received all my knife orders from them. YMMV and patience is a requirement when ordering from Dack.

What's funny is that although this Zoomer was ordered thru Chicago Knife Works, it's shipping out of Marion, Va- I think that's BHQ's outfit.
I ordered some Skiff Bearings from BHQ, and they're shipping from Marion, Va too
I just wonder for future orders if I could just ride up there and pick my stuff up. Marion, Va is only 90 minutes away from me.

This is only interesting for those with opfocus, but SFO has some sales going on. The zoomer is $420 ($210 with op discount). I don't have much use for this kind of knife but I'm still tempted at that price.

They have a few others on sale also. The g10 maxamet sage 1 for $304 ($152) is a screaming deal. Brown ffg delica for $100 ($50), Caribbeans, lc200n salt wharnie, etc

There are a couple sale items that aren't eligible for discount, but all of the above are.

Shipped on the 26th and I just got it awhile ago today. It's very nice! I need to get a sheath made though--this sheath is nicely made and all but it's kind of ridiculous. Knife is fantastic in the hand; it just needs a pancake kydex sheath and I can actually use it
