It's not often I get to see Ospreys working for a living. Down in the valley here I see plenty of Red tailed hawks, and at night more than a few Owls. The owls often stand around in the trees and scream at each other. It scares people who don't know what is happening. :)
I did see an Eagle with a following juvenile come over fishing the stream but it kept going to never be seen again.
You obviously live at a nice part of the country.
I've had osprey's take my speckled perch while reeling them in on a couple occasions. I slow troll with lines a ways back behind the boat. Needless to say I'm yelling when I see them. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. :D
I've had them take my speckled perch a couple of times..and leave them for me a couple times. I slow troll with lines well back behind the boat. When reeling in fish on the surface they dive for din din. Sometimes yelling works, sometimes not. :D
