I do wish more focus was put on this model. Of course I'm speculating on just how much focus that is, but suffice to say I'd rather they bumped this knife up in priority over doing whatever colab knife is next in line or yet another Para 2/3 variant.

David, we have more in common than I thought! I may not like the Manix as much as you (this is what I remember, anyway), but I love me some Princess Bride and I'd love a Military 2 more than pretty much anything else.

I kinda fell out of love with my Manix 2 once I got the Caribbean, it does basically what I wanted my Modded Manix 2 to do but in the same folded size but with a good bit more cutting edge. I really haven't carried a Military in a good 2 years since I got into SE, and that's a bummer because I have a SE Military, I just can't stand how thick the serrations are ground.

Any updates?

Yeah, I too don't think we're in the pipe lol (not this year anyway)

Never say never :D Last time it was mentioned it was November 2019, not sure if Sal said he was prototyping it or he has a prototype.....hard to tell if it comes this year or not.

I think he said he had a prototype with a comp lock.

At any rate, thanks for the bump Pancake! This is my most-anticipated model.

A Millie 2 CompLock is an instant purchase. As long as it's not lightweight, which I doubt...

Almost certainly going to be G-10. The LW models are significantly more expensive to produce, and usually only come after a G-10 model has proved the viability of the concept.

I really need this! In addition, Spyderco is missing a 4” plus compression lock in its lineup. Let this come out of the gate with a great production steel and you have an instant hit.

There was a pool thread about which steel could Military 2 has....Sal mentioned that it does not have to be S30V, and IIRC, CPM 20CV came out on top.
But at the same time, SPY27 was not a thing at the time of the pool...

K390 & ranger green it is!

I would choose SPY 27 and cobalt blue.

20cv and K390 would be awesome, but if Spyderco made it their first Cruwear production model I think it would be epic!
