Hey, everyone: Who would like a new decal - never before today released - only available through our social media? See below for information on how to get yours!

The Spyderco Mobile App is now available for download in the Apple App Store - but wait! Currently, it's not showing up in Search, but we expect it to soon (it's going through the Appleverse). You can download it right now by clicking on the link below. The first 50 people who download the app and post a screenshot in THIS thread will receive the Spyderco heartbeat decal.

The app is currently only available on IOS, but don't fret, the Android version will be coming soon (and I'll do another give-a-way for decals for Android users).

I saw the app announced on my Instagram feed, and thought I’d try it out. Then I came here to find the thread about it and stumbled over this post!

Earlier I opened FB on my PC at work and saw Kristi's mobile IOS giveaway. My personal phone is an Android but being a sucker for Spydie stickers I had to (rather hurriedly) try to figure out how to install the app on my work iPhone. By the time I installed the app and took a screenshot it was too late. 50 spots filled on really fast on the FB group. I was glad to see that she opened the contest here. :)

FYI, the app does not work correctly on the iPad.

If you'd care to provide details about what you're experiencing on your iPad please e-mail us at techsupport@spyderco.com and we'll review your issues. Please be sure to include which iPad you're using, what issues you're seeing, and including screenshots is always a huge help.

I managed to do this yippee.

EDIT: In a previous thread, there were some concerns about the app needing to know your location to warn you about taking your knives to the airport (called Heads-UP). On first launch, the app asked for permission to send me notifications. I said yes. Then I checked the settings. By granting permission for notifications, I did not give the app permission to use my location. Heads-Up was still disabled, and I have yet to see any modal dialogs asking me to enable it. Location is off by default, and I have to dig through the settings to turn it on. This is the way I think it should be done. Thanks Spyderco.
