Chicago bolts
Hey everyone I’m modding a Becker bk9 and I notice I have to screw the handle scales back in place and they are attached with Chicago bolts. My newb question is how tight do they need to be once screwed back in? Really tight or just snug? Thanks.

Re: Chicago bolts
The original scales use standard hex bolts with captured nuts...which can be tightened down a good amount. Custom scales from The Knife Connection use alignment pins with 2 screws and center post. . ..snug down and then 1/8 of of turn on each side. Don't need to over torque ! Of course if you get any " walking" of the scales...tighten a bit more.Cave_Hermit wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 4:55 pmHey everyone I’m modding a Becker bk9 and I notice I have to screw the handle scales back in place and they are attached with Chicago bolts.
