The original Spydie?

#1

Post by rainman »

Hello, I know I should buy the book, and someday I will, but does anyone know (I'm sure Sal does) what the Original Spyderco knife was called and what was it like? What would it compare to today in the lineup?

Thanks,

rainman

Tom

It's the Worker, I believe it was still made up until this year. RKBA!

It's the C01 Worker. It came in many variations, like black coating(s), Tufram scales and damascus. There was also a commemorative edition released last year.

My first Spydeco purchases was for ceramic sharpening equipment.

No more Japanese water stones plus a variety of shapes which enabled one to sharpen everything from toenail clippers to fish hooks.

I think Sal said "First we made things sharp, then we made sharp things"

One way or the other, you pay for your tools!
