May 14 2019 Update on my manix 2 I brought it to work for the first time and it is great. It is still stiff but I am still getting used it. It is razor sharp so I don’t have to put much pressure on the shrink wrap to cut it. It looks like it will slice through cardboard. Also since I wear gloves my thumb isn’t irritated much. I just have to see if will cut through the strapping, last thing it is really easy to open with one hand, I just have to get used to closing with one hand
Thanks for reporting back! Great, that you're finally really using your Manix at work!
As for "... just have to see if it will cut through...": If a properly sharp Manix won't, probably no other folder will either...
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)
I use all 3 of my Manix models at work quite often. As Wartstein said, if properly sharpened...you should be cutting through strapping for days with no problem!

it kinda of does but I’m used closing it with the the other hand because that’s what I did with the other knife the delica but I just used it one day so I just haven’t used it much.
If your cutting straps, try using a lever press cut. as your pressing the edge against the strap, use a lever motion to push the blade through. trying to slice the straps will dull the edge quicker. Heres a pic of me cutting a strap

Try closing it it one-handed. The blade should be heavy enough to close with just gravity. If not than i definitely recommend a lubricant
When it comes to a Warehouse knife, would the upcoming Spyderco Sage 5 Light Weight fit the desired parameters, with its 3.0 mm thick blade of S30V stainless steel, compression lock, and FRN grip or would it be too light-duty?
The knife has been good just need to loosen the torx screw because it still a little stiff still.
Also unfortunately I got a chip near the tip of the blade from trying to get a nail out of the wheel
