Para 3 Lightweight! I must have this knife ASAP!

That thing looks great. I've been eyeing the native 5 salt for a winter hiking knife but this looks great too. I need to learn more about the bd1n steel's edge holding, toughness and stain resistance.

I'd be interested to know thickness in the handle compared to the G-10 version

Wow, mind blown! :eek: Love that they went with the deep carry wire clip!! Too early to ask for the inevitable LC200N Salt version? That will sell like mad. Going to need someone to do a Cruwear exclusive as well. :D

That Para 3 is shown with BD-1N, which excites me!!!

Oh **** yeah! Love the reveal done as a catalog type layout and love the para 3 lw with wire clip and bd1n, love the gauntlet and love the Ikuchi.

The Ikuchi really speaks to me.. Is This the knife with the 'bic lighter" flipper i saw in a blade show video?

curious to see how the comp lock works with a frn handle. interesting release indeed. also curious about corrosion resistance of bd1n.

Interesting that the reveal image of the para 3 lw shows a torx stop pin instead of a pinned stop pin like on the g10 version.
Also thank you for moving the clip placement to allow for deep carry on the para 3 lw

Mr. Sal Glesser, if you are wandering around this thread, I would love to get a couple of questions answered:

First: What kind of washers (if any) does the Para 3 LW have? I guess there might be some phosphor bronze in there, or did you manage to get a nice and smooth compression lock action without them?

Second: I don't know if you are aware of the Signet Ring for the Para 3 from the Wise Men Company (check it out at http://wisemencompany.com/signet-ring-p ... ry-series/ if you're unaware). I have one of those and I'm curious to know if the Para 3 LW would be compatible with it. Your thoughts?

Thanks a bunch! By the way, I'm really enjoying this new staggered release strategy, keeps us folks excited throughout the year and, hopefully, this way we don't have to wait an eternity to get our hands on the shiny new stuff. Keep up the good work :)

PS: Sorry, something else just came to my mind and I can't resist haha. For those of us who already own a Sharpmaker with CBN rods, is there any compelling reason to get the Gauntlet system?

My questions pertain to the Gauntlet.

Will there be a 30° Gauntlet variation in the future?

Will the Gauntlet rods be available for purchase?

The Para3 feels great. Had a chance to handle one at the Taipei meet. The bidirectional texturing is top notch as always, and IMO the contoured edges make the handle just melt in your hand. I would have loved to see these contoured handle edges on the Native5 and Manix2 lightweights.

Para 3 LW looks great... will give the Delica a hard time.
Though I'd still prefer the much thinner blade stock of the latter.

Which of the products in the reveal are sprints and which are production?
