There are also things in logos that are rather subtle. A lot of times it's not what you see, but what you don't see in an empty space that makes part of the logo. I think with the byrd trademark hole, it's not what's etched or lased in the steel on the blade, it's what's missing, or the empty space that makes the trademark.
