Rough Rider, now called Rough Ryder knives, seem to use both old style patterns and also newer patterns for their knives. They appear to be made in China? Anyhow, their latest claim is that they are quality knives, and I saw this offering: A bush-craft pattern fixed blade, full-tang, with "440-A Stainless Steel" for the blade. They make these claims:

"Always built by hand and backed for life."

They claim to have a Life Time Warrantee of some kind.

Help me cut through any possible hype and get to the core issue: Their knives tend to be in the 4 to 20 dollar ranges, and use carbon and stainless steel, and assorted synthetic and natural handle materials.

Inch for inch, centimeter for centimeter, what sort of quality could one expect from such a fixed blade?

I would get a Mora.

Would expect the steel to be soft soft soft with a dull edge. Bad fit and finish to boot. The sheath also looks bad but that's whatever.

I've seen some of their traditionals in person. A step up from Frost. But that's about all I can say. If sharp, will cut.
