Military, at last!

Got my two Mils today, #15 and #16. Wow, what a couple! I can´t understand the criticism some guys have been expressing lately.

I was expecting to get a nice pair of knives. However, they are more than that and I feel sorry for those of you who didn´t manage to lay your hands on one (or more) of those pets! I know the feeling, missed the Natives

This has been a good week for me, as I also got a Jess Horn, a real piece of art

Regards!

PS Thanks Patti!!

Congratulations dude! The pearl-inlaid Military is a fine piece. A showcase of talent and quality committment by Spyderco to the Forumites!! But I'm yet to lay my paws on one *sob!* Will work on it really soon!

Hi dePaul,
I'm not sure where you saw the "criticism" though there has been a little in several posts. Don't know about others, but mine (#11) has an imperfection in the inlay, which makes it even dearer to me.... Sure, it would be nice if it were perfect, but hey, it's a beautiful piece of work and Sal, Patti, and crew made it all possible. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another spyderco and in fact have my eye on one now. That would make 14 not including two solos and a keychain firefly!
Nope, Spyderco still rules...!

Hey,

It finally arrived !
Couldn't be more happy with it. (Even though I had to pay masses of import duty ! :b)
I now have a new centre piece for my collection.
Thanks to everyone involved.

Cheers

Hey StevieK!

How much was the shipping charge to UK? I payed 965 SEK, that´s about 100 bucks to get my two Mils to Sweden!!

All the additional charges like custom and so on I had to "give away" something like 150 bucks just on charges.

In other words, those two knives cost me about 400 bucks

PS But I don´t care Would do it again, and again, and again........

Hi dePaul

Unfortunately, I'm in about the same situation.
$125 for the Mil, $15 Shipping and about $60 in Import Duty and Tax.
So overall just under $200.

But as you say, sign me up and I'll do it all again !

It sure doesn't take long to get hooked !

Cheers

Dude ~ At last, all the anguish was over! Congrats on getting the forum millie... There's only one guy whom I know from Malaysia that's getting his pearly one exclusively marked as the first 100 forum millie!! Anyway, enjoy this beautiful work of art!!

Tom, where in canada do you live? I'm out in the middle of no-where... Saskatchewan...

It's odd to meet someone from Canada here...

We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...

Hi Gerrit,

There was only;
Shipping to Canada $5US (I believe)
PST (based on conversion at $1.54),
GST (based on conversion at $1.54),
Customs handling fee $5
Rough total in CDN was 235.

Just a deep breath before you open your credit card bill......
