Word at the last Gunting seminar in April was that the Tusok is in line for production, but that the Yojimbo will come first. No dates as of yet. I saw and handled the prototype Tusok, and I will buy several! I hope Bram will have more recent news.

The Tusok is best described as a miniature Gunting. It has the ramp on the blade, the blade is at or under 2.5 inches in length so it is PC in more jurisdictions, and the handle is smaller, so it is less of an impact tool. Also, the blade shape is somewhat of a hookbill, as I recall. For me, it will be THE KNIFE to carry when weapons and bigger knives are forbidden.

Guys,

Bram is off to Russia again to do some training, but I know he would greatly appreciate it if you would go to this link (hope I got it right) and post your enthusiasim for the Tusok. Sal is doing a survey for 2004 production. Let him know!

I couldn't agree with you more, the Tusok rocks. I have seen it for two years and finally got to play with one (sadly the only one)and it is everything I thought it would be. Spyderco needs to make this knife. As for the Tusok looking like the Dodo ask yourself this question: which came first, the Dodo or the egg?

Go post!

P.S. If I screwed this up its under Makerers & Manufacturers/Spyderco/2004 Survey by Sal.
