Stretching my legs a bit and seeing what’s out there-
I think I have found a new overall favourite but how about you guys?
What do you reach for most of it’s not a spyderco kinda day?

Ugh this is hard. By pocket time my GEC #81 Bull Moose. The Benchmade 710 and Chris Reeve Sebenza Insingo get a lot of time.

Folder? Ritter RSK (min-grip).

Fixed? TRC K.O. (or PW custom, but that's not really a fair comparison).

 Some times the temptation to put this one in my pocket is just to strong to resist.

I like to carry a Victorinox Alox Cadet or Pioneer. I find the fit and finish nice, the tools useful, and the price inexpensive.

For fixed blade EDC I like to carry an Izula in my front pocket.

Have you tried the Electrician? It's the same size as the Pioneer but the pulls are much heavier and the little sheepsfoot with the single serration is really nice.

At this time I would have to say that my favorite knife company other than Spyderco would be the Swiss knife company KLOTZLI. I've been intrigued for some time with their super work with carbon fiber handles. The only thing that keeps me from getting more of their stuff for actually EDC, every day usage are their selection of outdated blade steels

It kind of baffles me that they are still using ATS-34 and 440C in many of their high end models. But their blade designs and the construction of their folders is still quite intriguing. Another company that does some really decent outdoor type knives is the company "Knives Of Alaska".

I really like the small sebenza (mine has the drop point blade, I would have got an indigo blade but they don’t make that for the ones with the would inlays.) I also recently got a ZT 0450 with some blue scallop patten day scales which is a really fun functional fidget knife (plus that doesn’t break the bank in the same way the sebenza does).
Just a man with a plan and a knife in hand.

My knives: Para 3 S110V (customized), Para 3 M390, PM2 S110V, Manix 2 CPM 154/S90V, Dice, Rubicon, Vrango, Native 5 CPM 154/S90V, Manbug ZDP-189, Ladybug, Chaparral LW, Kizer Megatherium

The only non-Spydercos I ever carry are OTF Autos, and my favorite is this Piranha Excalibur.

Not yet. I plan to get one at some point.

I like a lot of what ZT/Kershaw put out (although some really make me kinda cringe too). If I wasn't a Spyderco fanboy I'd probably be in that camp. I like a lot of other brands like Strider and CRK but there have always been reasons I bought a Spyderco instead and to me that says a lot. Maybe I'm just a creature of habit.

Great tool-box knife, but the lack of key ring loop (or clip) killed it for me.

I keep an Alox Bantam in my wallet. I don’t know it’s there until I need it. I managed to release, strip and refit my Vespa top box catch with it last weekend, after it had eaten my helmet ....

Favourite non Spydercos are my Victorinoxes, very probably in the last time more often used and carried than a Spydie. Maybe this will change again ... ;)

Would kill for an alox serrated. I have a standard with a serrated and it is superb. Or an alox with a plain edge and a serrated edge blade. Really I want a Cold Steel Lucky but not with Cold Steel's serrations.

Ergonomically this guy just works for me- feels great in the hand and BM do their S30v really well-
This is the 940-2 with the g10 and S30v, I actually got it quite cheap off eBay so no arguments from me
