I bought a friend of mine a Clipitool Rescue as a gift on the occasion of his first child. He was really taken by the knife, but he’s a first responder and promptly went out and snapped both the blade and the belt cutter on calls.

He’s not active on the forums, so I just thought I’d ask for him: does Spyderco offer any kind of blade replacement service?

Nope.

Maybe have him get the heavier duty Rescue 3 or serrated sheepsfoot Enuff.
