$120 for micarta and 4V steel seems like a pretty solid deal. 4V isn't the easiest/cheapest steel to find.

BladeHQ has some Benchmade propers on s90v/cf for $139 - great price for a nice modern traditional - not the thinnest grind, but a nice overall package

Smoky mountain knife works has the becker bk10 for $70 and the bk7 for $75. I snagged another bk7, love mine!

Appreciate you posting this! I've been wanting to buy a Bugout for years now, but I'm not a huge fan of the flex in the grivory models.. or the normal price of the g10 versions.. this is a great deal. Glad I could help. Im like you, have been hearing how great the Bugout was but never pulled the trigger. If anyone's interested, the Benchmade Valet is very similar in size the Baby Horn. The Valet's a little bigger than the Baby Horn but not by much.

For some reason I always thought this knife was sweet, but for a slipjoint $188 was a bit steep. Now on sale for $139, I just might have to jump on it. No need for it, I've just loved the way it looked since it came out.
