H1 steel plain edge retention

With Nitrogen steels, we are in a new dimension. Little history, we're the tip of the spear. Still lots to learn.

Needless to say, we're done a great deal of testing and we're always trying to improve the edge retention of plain edge H1. Chisel grinds, work hardening, you name it and we've probably tried it. We're still trying. For me, "All good just different". No perfect steel for all functions. Unlike flavors of ice cream, steel offers a much wider range than simply taste.

nah, probably not.

Edge retention is less than VG-10 but not terrible by any means, IMHO, and there are times when its total immunity to rust trumps edge retention. I carry a customized PE Atlantic Salt when walking Bear on warm rainy days and any other times I think I might get drenched.

I actually have a friend who works for SpaceX
I'll have to ask her for some spare steel

IIRC LC200N had it's origin in nasa rocket engine bearings that are bathed in lOx, and so need extreme corrosion resistance.
