Green "spyder" logo

#1

Post by TXZerb »

I recent received a Sage and Sage 2. Both were in Like New condition, smooth action and solid lock-up. The only thing that seemed off, were the logos on the blades. The have a greenish color that doesn't match what i've seen in pics. I have only owned a couple spydies in the past, and don't remember them turning green over time. Is this a thing?

Hi, TXZerb:
Welcome to our forum. I can't say that I've ever seen one of our engraved/stamped logos turn green, but I want to give your post a bump back up the page (it was delayed in the moderation queue). I'm sure our members will have some helpful feedback.

We hope you enjoy your time with us!

Kristi

If they're from Taichung, the engraving definitely has a colored look to it. Look at them under a handlense and you'll see some pretty neat work.

The laser engraving turns the metal a brassy or bronze color.
