Here are a couple of photos of the new SS Cricket, but I'm having a heck of a time getting the lighting right...

Sorry, Dialex, I don't know what a ball detent is, but the blade feels secure when closed.

hodad,
Nics pics, I just ordered one for my keychain. As for the ball detent if it's like my Ti Salsa there is a very small ball bearing(sp) on the inside of one of the scales (salsa has it on the lock side) that when the blade is closed this ball provides the friction to keep it closed.
My 2cents US,
Chris

Ohhhhhh yeah!

That's the one! The slim Cricket. Frank Recupero has lots of new canvas to work with! Thanks for the pix there, Hodad. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Mornin' Chris,

With inflation, that was almost a nickels worth! Waiting on 4 from Linda and Vampyrewolf is waiting on own of them from me. Can't wait to fondle these babies again. I know they don't rust easily cause I drooled all over the display model at the Spirit of Steel back in September.......

I hate this thread <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I had convinced myself that I didn't need another Cricket. Unfortunately this goes way beyond temptation <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Temptation doesn't even begin to describe it.

I can't wait to get it. I've placed an order for two (PE&SE) sometime ago already.
I'm gonna try to make some Exterme Curly Birch wood scales on them...

Hi Hodad, the ball detent is a small ball nested in the linerlock. When the blade is closed, the ball fits a small cavity in the blade.
Could you post a pic with the clip side, please? Thanks and enjoy your new spydie.
