With so many different models out there, I was just curious what are people's favorite models. I would start a poll, but I do not know how yet.

Go into "Full Editor & Preview" and at the bottom there will be a few tabbed pages "options/attachments/poll creation". Click the poll tab and it's pretty self explanatory.

To answer your question, I think my favorite so far is probably my Autonomy. Second to that is probably the D'Allara 2. Unfortunately there aren't a slew of options, but the Atlantic Salt is also a great knife. I'm anxiously awaiting the Caribbean sheepsfoot.

The blade on the Rescue tool is pretty great. Good length, thin, FFG; it eats through cardboard.

OKay Troops!!! I know that some of you want to hear from the "Golden Oldies" department of which I'm the current head of  :D . But this thread truly gets into my sentimental attachments of the older Spyderco models because it was back in the Spring of 1995 ( 23 years ago) that I bought my very first Spyder which was a "Sheepsfoot, stainless handled, full Spyderedged GIN-1 MARINER model. So you can see I go back a ways with Spyderco's great sheepsfoot models. It truly was the folder I cut my Spyder-Teeth with  But I even found one better :)

But to fast forward this a bit my current favorite sheepsfoot Spyderco blade is my ATS-55, full Spyderedge, sheepsfoot, stainless handled RESCUE model from the late 90s. It's been my favorite sheepsfoot Spyderco folder for quite some time now and it should be a candidate for a Sprint Run. This thing is built like a skyscraper and is as solid as any fixed blade I've ever owned. Actually I'm carrying it today even as we speak. For the fixed blade category I'll go with the JUMPMASTER but I use the stainless handled RESCUE a lot and I don't look to be retiring it anytime soon.

If the Pingo had been serrated it would be my choice. Hoping the Caribbean is my top choice when I get one

I prefer pointier blades but recognize the place of blunter ones. I have an Assist for encountered emergencies and an Atlantic Salt for sailing/whitewater rafting, but I favor the Manbug Salt I carry daily for gnarly or discreet work.

The Embassy is my favorite serrated sheepsfoot blade.
I had kind of gotten away from automatics the past two to three years or so and only have a couple left in my footlocker. But I will admit that I hadn't really taken a close look at this "Embassy" model. That is one super cool looking sheepsfoot blade. And I had never liked sheepsfoot blades for looks but I had always liked them for their super functional aspects. I can see one of these in my upcoming future.

Again I wish some of you all would take a hard look at the old Spyderco Stainless RESCUE model ( ATS-55 era).

I've got a feeling that with the success of the Jumpmaster and how it's proven to be a great performer we are most definitely going to see more fixed blade sheepsfoot models down the road.

And when you think about it I haven't seen any company have the success with sheepsfoot blades that Spyderco has enjoyed.
